So about 2 months ago I finally conquered Broga (Broga Hill is in a small town that sits on the border of Selangor and Negri Sembilan in Malaysia. We set off at 4am (kinda), started climbing at 5ish, first peak 6:00, second peak 6:24, third peak 6:32. We saw the sunrise, and I felt on top of the world.
Sleepless but determined. Broga was like a lesson in life that even your degree couldnt offer- you may slip a couple times but you get back up and keep going, you walk through the burn, you go through it with your favorite people, you may get seperated from your loved ones but however scary you will always be reunited at the end, you can come close to burning out(death) but against all odds youll merely come out with a scar, and of course you take the road less travelled to make sure the people you care about dont get lost in the Jungle.
Hiking is such a beautiful form of exercise. The most important thing you can remember: is that when you wish to give up, thats when you have to push just a little farther.
It’s not the mountain that we conquer, but ourselves.
